Patient Transport Service

Non-emergency patient transport can be booked by patient or relatives directly by phone or though our website, when we will contact you whithin 24 hours.

We can transport patients who are ambulatory but require assistance or supervision within one of our emergency cars. When the patient need to lay down or it is transported longer distances, we provide an emergency ambulance with stretcher. We can transport wheelchair patients by transfering them during the trip either to a car chair or to a strecher. We offer paediatric (children more than 3 years old) and elderly PTS services as well as bariatric services.

Our non-emergency PTS are focused on individual’s needs:

  • attendance to a hospital or clinic appointment.
  • a “wish ambulance” for transporting a patient to a wedding, family gathering or any other family events.
  • an airport transfer (to and from UK Airports). The destination can be a hospital, patient’ home or an interim location such a hotel. A family member or friend is welcome to travel with the patient in airport transfers.
  • a transport from hospital to a care home
  • a transport between two care home addresses.

Emergency patient transport can be booked only by NHS Trusts, NHS Ambulances or medical centers. We are supporting the NHS emergency response system through our contracts with NHS Ambulance Trusts and GP surgeries.

Please be aware that this is not an emergency or urgent response service to be arranged on an ad hoc basis. In a medical emergency PLEASE CALL 999. In case of an urgent medical problem PLEASE CALL 111.

Our emergency-PTS can include:

  • a transfer between acute care hospitals, in order to gain access to unique specialty services or a higher level of care according to patient needs.
  • a transfer due to lack of capacity in the referring hospital, such as lack of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or High Dependency Unit (HDU) beds.
